More Motorola Milestone Android 2.2 Stuff

I’m really disappointed with this update now – the phone has been laggy, slow and unstable for the past couple of days.

After a bit of digging around in the Motorola Europe Facebook threads lots of people are reporting similar issues, but many are reporting a factory reset helps a lot.

I can concur with this, I wiped the phone today and restored all my apps and things are a lot better. Launcher pro is playing nicely again now, although I’m puzzled as to why Motorola haven’t put the Froyo 2.2 launcher in the Milestone?

The whole impression is of a half-assed job with the minimum amount of work they could get away with; for something that took so long, there’s no visibility in the results as to why!

I’m rather hoping that the rumours about the bootloader being cracked are true, but it’s looking less likely that it has now 🙁

  • No new launcher
  • No tethering
  • No 3D gallery
  • Apps in ROM out of date
  • Poor performance
  • The only noticeable difference that anyone would easily spot is the WiFi hotspot

Hello Moto?

More like Goodbye Moto…
